Brush and Rollering
We are proud to be able to offer you the best of traditional brush and roller hand painting. Especially if your space is more suited to it or if it is your preferred application method. For example some period properties are more suited to this approach.
Spraying
Spray painting provides a superior, much smoother and more modern looking finish to roller & brush. It is fast, efficient and versatile. At Bees Knees Decorating we have invested in both Spray training and spray painting equipment. We believe it is the future for the Painting industry.
Flawless Finish
Spray painting provides a flawless, even layer of paint which eliminates visible brush strokes for a sleek professional finish. The spray method also allows for better coverage and a smoother finish on complex or intricate surfaces that are difficult to reach with traditional tools.
With the correct knowledge of masking, spray methods can be used in a home setting to great effect. Spraying speeds up the process and results in a durable, flawless finish.
Spraying Equipment
There are many different types of paint sprayer which are specifically designed for a certain uses. We currently have 5 machines in service, each with a very specific purpose and function.
Spraying is a technical skill which requires a combination of training, understanding and experience to get right.
Often it will be a blend of traditional and spray methods which will achieve your desired results, quickly and to great effect.

Wallpaper when hung professionally adds a beautiful finish to your walls.
We believe wallpapering is having a bit of a renaissance in the interior design world. It definitely still has a lot to offer in terms of elevating interior spaces.

Painting Staircases
Painting your staircase is one of the simplest ways to elevate your living space. It can help you make a big impact in a concentrated area.
Painting staircases and spindles can be painstaking and difficult to achieve a top finish.
We paint wooden stairs, hand rails, banisters and spindles. To achieve the best possible finish we carefully prepare the surfaces. We will mask off the necessary areas. Then sand ensuring good paint adhesion. Next we prime the woodwork, fill sand and caulk. This ensures when the top coat is applied the result will be a smooth, beautiful finish. Then depending on the staircase we will either spray or hand paint. Once the painting is finished we’ll clean up meticulously so that you can enjoy your transformed space.

Consultation and Pricing – A personal site visit to discuss your vision. Followed by a no obligation quote.
Agree quote and time scales – If we’re both happy to proceed, we’ll agree the start date and duration of the work. We’ll take a deposit to secure the date.
Preparation – depending on the type of work we’ll mask the area, we’ll sand down anything that needs attention.
Painting & Decorating – We prime the area and hand paint, or spray paint. We’ll apply as many coats as necessary to get an immaculate finish.
Clean up – we take care in the preparation to ensure that the clean up is quick, straightforward and meticulous.
